15 Nov Custom bike: what colour to choose?
Selecting the paint for your custom motorbike is a key part of the process. Sometimes, it’s a matter of preference, and other times we go for a colour that’s characteristic of a brand or style. Everyone knows that each colour has a particular meaning in the motor world. Our advice is to ignore that and to choose the colour that you like. But don’t rush, first, finish reading this article.
Are you looking for an elegant result? Then, black paint should be your choice. You can’t go wrong with black, especially if you go for a custom-tone black, such as the one typically used for Harley Davidson bikes. However, beware that dark colours reduce your road visibility, so you should be cautious and drive wisely.
Another popular choice is white, which increases road visibility and is easy to match in case you get a scratch that needs repainting.
Red is the color of the bold, or of the blazing owners of a Ducati, which are an icon in this colour. Undoubtedly, red never goes out of style.
Though yellow might be the riskiest colour with the fewest number of supporters, we are strong advocates of this hue, especially when combined with black. Besides, in terms of road visibility, nothing beats yellow.
Blue is an excellent choice for a custom Yamaha or Suzuki (it’s practically an obligation if it’s a GSX-R). Another winning choice would be a combination of white and blue.
At Bolt Motor Company, specialists in custom motorcycles, we take great pleasure in finding the perfect coating that adds character and gives strength to our custom builds. We are the type of people that enjoy taking risks. What about you, what colour is the motorbike of your dreams?
