Do you want to build your own Cafe Racer? Here’s what you should know

If you are passionate about Café Racer, you’ve probably been thinking about building one and realising your dream. However, many clients that come to our Café Racer custom shop in Valencia have many questions which we’ll try to answer today.

Do I need a base motorbike or does Bolt handle this for me?

At Bolt Motor Co. we won’t buy the bike for you but we’ll assist you throughout the entire purchase process. This includes recommendations on the best benefit-cost model, making sure it’s functional, and letting you know in case it isn’t. We can work with old motorbikes that need a make-over or we can help you select the best base engine for the Café Racer you have visualised.

When choosing a bike, there are several factors to consider. As a general rule, the most popular makers for Café Racer, Bobber or Scrambler base bikes are BMW and Honda – but the possibilities are endless. If you’ve decided you want to build your own Café Racer, pay us a visit and ask for information without any obligation.

How much does it cost to design and build a Café Racer? It mostly depends on the condition of the base motorcycle and the bike you want to build. Keep in mind that every Café Racer is unique, so its cost as well.

Will I have problems with ITV controls?  Not with Bolt Motor Company. We only work with homologated spare parts so you won’t have any problems with any vehicle safety controls.

If you have more questions, please contact Bolt Motor Company, specialists in motorbike customisation. We’ll be waiting!

    Buenas tardes;

    Tengo una Ducati Vento 350 de los 70. Mi padre trabajo en ella durante años, por lo que tiene un valor sentimental. Quiero retrabajar la moto para darle un estilo caferacer, además de ponerla a punto y ver posibilidades para que la moto sea cómoda a diario (arranque eléctrico por ejemplo). Se que no podéis realizar un presupuesto con tan poca información, pero si queréis llamadmE y os doy más. Es por saber si puedo empezar ya con ella o esperar.

    Buenas desde Valencia capital, quería haceros la siguiente consulta:

    Llevo tiempo rondando con la opción de customizar estilo cafe racer mi Triumph Speed Triple 1050 año `09. Pero me gustaría saber si el factor KM supone un handicap. Es decir, si merece la pena invertir X presupuesto en una moto con 40.ooo km como es mi caso, qué opinan? Gracias
