#BOLT26 has an ’82 BMW R65 base engine, and this time, we’ve given it a Scrambler appearance that teleports us to the past. With this bike, we succeeded in building an extremely functional machine, with a Scrambler allure. And for this, BMW bikes are the best.
On this occasion, we’ve tried to maximise the potential of its original parts, restoring and working on them to preserve their original appeal. For example, the front end is practically the original one, except for the oversized Galfer front brake discs and Goodridge brake lines. And since functionality and good looks are not at odds, we used Motogadget electronic components, such as the odometer, and tachometer.
To attain high efficiency and daily service, we rebuilt the engine completely. Also, its charm is due to the excellent paint job done to the gas tank. We used special metallised paint selected by its owner.
If you’d like to find out more about #BOLT26’s customisation process, know this: we used Continental tyres, Highsider mirrors, Motogadget grips, and a Renthal handlebar. We can’t stress enough that success in a customisation process depends on counting on expert hands, and on selecting the right parts and replacements. It’s also crucial to know which parts deserve a second life by restoring them, or by simply giving them a professional clean up.
